Miguel Flor graduated in Fashion Design from the Porto Fashion Academy. He won the first prize in the contest Sangue Novo at ModaLisboa in 1996 and worked at Maison Martin Margiela in Paris until the end of 1999. Flor had his own brand until 2003, the year in which he began designing for several brands and clients as well teaching Fashion Design (Porto Fashion School and Lisbon Faculty of Architecture).
In 2010 he was invited to create and head the creative direction and coordination of Bloom, a platform for the presentation of collections from young designers integrated in Portugal Fashion, where he remained until 2016.
Today he is the creative director and editor-in-chief of Portuguese fashion magazine Prinçipal, a fashion photographer and is still active as a designer and creative director for different brands.
His first photo book Boys Appetite, arousing the desire for youth, the body and its expressions, is out now on Stolenbooks.
